SRDR senior citizens support services club elects office bearers

JAMMU, Dec. 30: In general council meeting of SRDR Senior Citizen Support Services Club at J&K headquarters, Chowadi, in the outskirts of Jammu city near Sainik Colony, Jammu. The special session framed and finalized its office bearers and governing body with President, general secretary and ten-member of Managing Committee for one year.
The founder and chairman of this premier club for elders, who got constructed and setup a beautiful complex in the enchanting hill top of the Chowadi locality. Dr. Kasturi Lal Gupta chaired the meeting and got approval of general body for the office bearers and ten-members committee of the club, here, very recently. All the members unanimously approved in the new committee.
While Ashok Gupta became the president, vice-president are : S.K. Jain, Anil Suri and Raman Suri, while Maj. Gen. S.K. Sharma (retd.) has been made general secretary with vice-presidents who are Jagdish Langer, Shafiqa Bano and Verinder Gupta. The executive members include : Abhinandan Jain, Sunil Gupta, Sapna Sethi, Satpal, Deepak Kohli, Rakesh Khajuria, Raman Gandotra, Omkar Sharma, Ashok Khajuria and Rakesh Sharma. In addition, Neha Kakkar Gupta has also been associated with it.
The new committee is tasked to expand membership, upgrade the functioning of the club and carry out recreation, indoor sports, reading of books and magazines for the members.
On this occasion, Er. Vijay Bhagotra, general secretary, Home for Age and Infirm, Amphalla, Jammu and also O.P. Sharma, veteran Journalist were felicitated and presented shawls as token of their services by Dr. Kasturi Lal Gupta and S.K. Jain of the club.
