New Year Celebration, Farewell Function for Retiring Employees at SKUAST-Jammu

Jammu, Jan 2: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) on Monday accorded a warm farewell to the retiring director and officials at a function held here at Baba Jitto Auditorium at SKUAST-J Chatha. The function was organized under the leadership of Prof J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. During the function, Prof. Pardeep Wali, Director Research; Ram Dhan, FCLA, Division of Agroforestry; Janak Raj, FCLA, Division of VSR; Adul Latief, Mali, MBRSS, Poonch and Om Parkash, Division of Agronomy were felicitated for their contribution in the growth and development of University. Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu congratulates retiring officer and official and wish them healthy and happy post retired life. New year celebration was also the part of the function.
Vice Chancellor in his address to the faculty, staff and students of SKUAST-Jammu wishes Happy New Year and hope that the university will keep developing in all fields as it has done earlier also. Prof. Sharma congratulates all for their hard work and dedication towards their work which makes it possible to take SKUAST-Jammu to the new heights at regional, UT and national level. Prof. Sharma advised students also to attend such type of programmes to learn from the journey of retiree employees which they share during the retirement function. Prof. Sharma also mentioned about the achievements of university for the last few years.
He also mentioned about the Dr. Mangla Rai Committee report for holistic development of agriculture and allied sectors in the UT of J&K. The function was also attended by Dr. S. K. Gupta, Director Extension; Dr Rakesh Nanda, Director Education, Dr. Jyoti Kachroo, Director Planning and Monitoring, Dr. S. K. Gupta, Registrar and Dean, Faculty of Horticulture and Forestry; Dr. S. E. H. Rizvi, Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences, Dr. M. S. Bhadwal, Dean F.V.Sc & A.H, Dr. A. K. Sharma, University Librarian; Dr. Rajinder Peshin, Controller Examination; Dr. B.C. Sharma, Dean, FoA, Dr. Sushil Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Agril. Engg; Dr. J. S. Soodan, Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, Madan Lal, Comptroller, Sohan Lal, Joint Comptroller, Heads of the Division, Research Stations, Mega Seed Projects, Sr. Scientist and Heads of KVKs, Teaching faculty, non-teaching staff and students of SKUAST-J. The programme started with a welcome address by Dr. S. K. Gupta, Registrar and Dean, Faculty of Horticulture and Forestry. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Sachin Gupta, Professor, Plant Pathology. The programme ended with vote of thanks.
