Modi government has failed to deter terrorism: Wani

JAMMU, Jan 3: PCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani has strongly condemned the militants attack at Rajouri and described it a most cowardly act of militants and total failure of the Government. Addressing a press conference here today JK PCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani alongwith Working President Raman Bhalla, Rajnish Sharma, Th. Manmohan Singh, Pranav Shagotra, Jahanzaib Sirwal, Sahil Sharma and other senior leaders have strongly condemned the militants attack at Dhangi Village of Rajouri District for two consecutive days in which 6 people including children have been brutally killed and 15 injured which is matter of great concern.
He said that Sunday's attack on three houses in Dangri village of Rajouri district would not have been possible without the support of some sleeper cells. He criticized Pakistan for pursuing a policy of hostility against India and harboring terrorists on its soil and Strongly condemned Pakistan for endangering the lives of people and security forces in JK U.T. He said that Pakistan, which has failed to provide democracy and development to its people, is making every effort to disturb peace in the Jammu and Kashmir UT.
Wani termed the act of terrorists as most cowardly act in which innocent people and even children were targeted. He said that strict action should be taken against the terrorists responsible for this massacre. He demanded suitable ex-gratia relief to the dependents of the deceased and demanded proper relief to the injured.
Expressing sympathy to the family members of the deceased, Raman Bhalla prayed to God to rest their souls in peace and give strength to their family members to bear this loss. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He urged the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take strict action against the anti-national forces as well as against the neighboring country Pakistan so that such acts are not repeated in future. He appealed to the people of all sections of society not to fall prey to these evil designs of militants and maintain a climate of peace and harmony.
Bhalla criticized administration for not allowing him to go to Village Dhangi to meet the victims families, Yesterday and termed it most unfortunate act of LG administration.
