Jawans facing multiple challenges

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Monday fired upon yet another Pakistani drone in Punjab and forced it to return.
Pakistan has been using drones to drop drugs and weapons in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorist handlers have roped in criminals to keep the terrorism alive in the Union Territory and they are being used to collect the consignments being dropped by drones.
The security forces guarding the borders are maintaining a tight vigil over the activities of the terrorists who every now and then try to infiltrate into this side. The robust counter infiltration grid has made the sneaking in of terrorists difficult but still a few of them are managing to cross over into this side.
Besides human infiltration the drone infiltration has emerged as yet another challenge for the security forces. In 2022, 22 drones were captured by the alert soldiers. The jawans also recovered 316 kgs of drugs, 67 weapons, 850 rounds, killed two Pakistan intruders and apprehended 23 Pakistan nationals in different incidents along the border and the Line of Control.
The figures clearly reveal that Pakistan is in no mood to give up and wants to keep on disturbing the peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
The recent terror attack, in Rajouri district which left 6 civilians, including 2 minors dead, is ample proof of the fact that Pakistan and the terrorists sponsored by it only believe in bloodshed and don’t want peace to prevail.
India is losing patience and the voices to take decisive action against the terrorists are becoming shriller.
On Tuesday Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India does not believe in war, but “if it is forced upon us, we will fight”.
He didn’t name Pakistan but made it clear that if the war is forced upon India, it will b e fought. Last month the Defence Minister had warned Pakistan to mend its ways and had dropped enough hints to drive home a point that the Indian Army is waiting for a signal to cross the LoC and reclaim Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Time is running out for Pakistan. If it keeps on bleeding India then it will have to pay a very heavy price.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a strong leader and the entire country is looking towards him. If Pakistan doesn’t mend its ways it could face a massive retaliatory action.
