Youth of J&K frustrated under present regime: Dr Vikas
1/4/2023 10:35:04 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 4: Coordinator Jammu District Urban and Secretary Central Zone Dr. Vikas Sharma expressed that present day youth were frustrated due to lack of job opportunities and neck deep corruption in the recruitment process being followed by the UT administration.
While interacting with youth, Dr. Vikas Sharma said that we stand committed for secularism and social equality. He said NC has a legacy of serving the poor and weaker sections of the society which was started by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
He said that unemployment is at an all time high in the country and in J&K as well, following which the youth is under depression. "Frustration due to unemployment among educated youth is leading to suicides, crime, and drug addiction", Dr Vikas lamented.
He pin-pointed that BJP had betrayed the people of J&K which had made a lot of false promises to the people including good governance, but it has failed to deliver good to the people on ground.
He said that few forces are working to divide people on the communal and regional lines which will be given a befitting reply. "The country is presently going through a state of crisis. The graph of inflation is on a constant rise, the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing and BJP is still claiming good governance" he added.
He flayed the administration for shunning the age-old practice of Darbar Move which caused great loss to the business community of Jammu region.
He maintained that the fight for restoration of statehood to J&K shall be the foremost agenda of the party. People of J&K have suffered a lot during the past three and half years since abolition of statehood. He said that NC is fighting and will continue its fight till restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
He also urged the youth to support and strengthen NC in the forthcoming Assembly election.
Dr Vikas Sharma further said that we have standing instructions from our party President Dr Farooq Abdhulla to keep in constant touch with the people at the grass root level and take note of their problems for appropriate solution and timely disposal.
