DC Kishtwar discusses arrangements for R-Day celebrations

KISHTWAR, Jan 4: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day, 2023.
Discussions regarding security, first aid, sanitation, Fire and Emergency Services, seating arrangements, power and water supply and issuance of invitation cards were discussed in the meeting.
At the outset, the ADC apprised the departments about their role and responsibilities for the R-Day 2023 celebration.
The departments were directed to put in place all the required arrangements before 24th January- the day of full dress rehearsal.
It was informed in the meeting that the venue of the function will be decided later on.
The ADDC stressed that cultural programmes will be performed by the students of different schools based on themes Beti Bachao Beti padao, Nasha Mukht Bharat and Patriotism. It was also decided that the day shall start with playing of Shenai Vadan by the Information Department Kishtwar.
The full dress rehearsal of the programme will be held on 24th January, 2023.
The DC informed that iconic projects completed in the District will also be inaugurated on the eve of Republic day 2023. He also encouraged District officers to add Tableaus showcasing the schemes and initiatives of their respective Departments during this year's R-Day celebration Programme. The CEO was directed to host Prabhat pheris in morning by school children as part of celebration and to evoke patriotic zeal.
The meeting was attended by SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt, Sr. Superintendent of Police Commandant IRP-22nd Bn. Kishtwar Rajesh Sharma, ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD Atul Dutt Sharma, representatives of Army & CRPF, Principal GDC Kishtwar Dr Jyoti Parihar, Principal DIET Ashok Kumar besides other District Officers and representatives of various departments.
