Tawi Welfare Society organises Relief Distribution Function

Jammu, Jan 8: Tawi Welfare Society organised Relief Distribution Function at Apnavan Sure Chak today in which Ration Kits(comprises of Rice, Flour, Dal, Sugar and Salt) were distributed among the 100 needy landless labourer families of Tawi Island and its adjoining area as due to fog and extreme cold weather these families were unable to go for their routine earnings. Preeti Sharma Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu was the Chief Guest at this occasion.
Society members welcomed the Guest by presenting a bouquet to her a memento was also presented as token of love. Yash Paul Malhotra General Secretary and Nand Kishor Senior member of Society briefed the Guest about the various activities undertaken by Society for the downtrodden and the needy people. Chief Guest in her address appreciated the work being done by the Society for the underprivileged section of society. She also said that to work for this section of society is the need of the hour and assured her full support to the Organization for this noble cause as well as other works for the development of Apnavan/Apna Ghar premises. Other prominent personalities present on this occasion were Madan Lal BDC Chairman, Ishya Devi Sarpanch, Amarjeet Kour Sarpanch, Gopal Sharma DFO(Retired) and Surinder Sharma Program Officer
