1/8/2023 11:38:19 PM
Early Times Report

POONCH, Jan 8: The appalling power scenario in Jammu and Kashmir has exposed the tall claims of BJP Government at the Centre with regard to ensuring colossal development and thousands of crores of investment in the industrial sector.
This was stated by Ajaz Jan, Provincial President Youth National Conference Jammu and senior NC leader while addressing a meeting of party workers at Poonch.
The party workers expressed great disappointment over the callous attitude adopted by the administration for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people. They apprised the senior NC leader about the dismal condition of power in the hilly terrain amidst chilly winters. People are deprived of regular supply as the general public getting only 5 to 6 of power supply on daily basis. Besides, they also raised serious concern over poor health services in the far off areas. The senior NC leader said that except rhetoric the BJP brigade has nothing in offing for the people as the power crisis which has gripped the state is unprecedented because no one in J&K had ever seen such dark era in last over seventy years. He asked LG Sinha to mobilize all his resources to ensure that people don’t suffer any more amidst this winter season.
The former Legislator also castigated the government for harassing the people on the name of revenue documents. He said that the Revenue Department has initiated drive across the state and dismantling the structures just to harass the people. He warned the proxy government of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir to stop harassing people failing which they would teach a lesson of life in the upcoming elections in the state.
The former MLA also expressed concern over lack of basic medical facilities at the hilly areas of Haveli Constituency due to which the people are facing huge problems. He criticized the LG Sinha led administration for not showing serious concern towards this grave issue despite highlighting the matter on regular basis. He said that there is dire need of medical officers as well as para-medicos to cater the people residing in far flung areas of district Poonch. Ajaz Jan appealed to the LG Sinha to look into the matter and address the problems being faced by the people of aforesaid constituency at the earliest.
Later in the meeting, the Provincial President, with the approval of Party’s President, has nominated Privender Singh as District President YNC Poonch and Qureshi as District Sectary YNC Poonch.
