Jammu, Jan 8: "Sikh community is being praised by all for its sacrifices, courage and valour. Sikh community people have always extended their support whenever needed and had performed their legitimate duties in all the odd situations across the globe".
This was stated by Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa while welcoming the Nagar Kirtan, which was taken out by Gurudwara Sahib Dharap to mark the Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Nagar Kirtan is also one of the medium to spread the message of brotherhood and communal harmony, Former Legislator Vikram Randhawa asserted..
"Other religion people also welcome the Nagar Kirtan, as it spread the message of brotherhood and communal harmony", Randhawa said, adding that the teaching of the Sikh gurus have played a pivotal role in the lives of the people.
"Teaching of gurus are being followed by the people", he said, adding that Sikh community has always remained in forefront to tackle any odd situation.
Randhawa said that the life of Dasam Patshah Ji is a beacon for humanity, from which the priorities of life should be determined. He appealed to the people to raise their voice against social evils on the occasion of Guru Sahib's enlightenment and to pay homage and respect to Guru Sahib by following his life and teachings and he also appealed to Sikhs they should become Amritdhari by taking amrit. Urging the people to imbibe the spirit of service and humility as preached by the Great Guru, the Former Legislator said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji envisioned a casteless society free from rituals, thereby redeeming the suffering humanity from the pangs of agony.
Extending warm greetings on the occasion, Former Legislator stressed upon to follow teachings of Guru Sahib.
Former Legislator said that Sikh community stands tall against all those, who tried to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere not only in India but also abroad.
"Sikh community has always extended their support whenever needed", he said, adding that this community has performed their legitimate duties in all the odd situations across the globe. Sikh community is known for their sacrifices, courage and valour and this is the reason that this community is being praised by all, Randhawa added.
Former Legislator said that the birth and early years of Guru Govind Singh ji’s life were marked with many events that demonstrated that Guru Sahab had been blessed with divine grace.
