J&K HCBA holds meeting under chairmanship of M.K Bhardwaj

Jammu, Jan 10: Today the 10th of January, 2023, the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu held an emergent meeting under the Chairmanship of Sh. M.K. Bhardwaj, Sr. Adv & President J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu in which all the office bearers of JKHCBAJ namely S. Mohinder Pal Singh Palli Vice President, Surjeet Singh Andotra General Secretary, Aditya Sharma Joint Secretary, S Amandeep Singh Treasurer, Rohit Sharma President YLA, Gagandeep Singh Lucky Vice President, Yasir Farooq Khan General Secretary, S Karanjeet Singh Johal Joint Secretary, Naresh Kumar Treasurer and many other members of the Bar Association participated to condemn the incident of breaking of locks and throwing out the office furniture including the office Board of Chamber of Adv. Kh. Javed Iqbal Mintoo located at Desa Road Chowk near Clock Tower in front of District Police Headquarter Doda occupied on rent basis on first floor Upper M/s Best Deal Mobile Shop inside HDFC ATM belongs to one Sh. Javed Iqbal Sheikh R/O Ban Doda, by some miscreants and anti social elements during the intervening night of 7th & 8th January 2023 at about 6.30 to 7.00 PM .
It has been brought to the notice of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu that the Advocate Mr. Kh. Javed Iqbal Mintoo has lodged a complaint before the concerned police station Doda under Section 457, 447, 427, 504 & 506 IPC but the same complaint is still pending before the police authorities since 7th of January 2023 and no action has been taken by the police authorities in this regard till date
It has also been intimated to the JKHCBAJ that the learned member of the Bar Association, Doda namely Kh. Javed Iqbal Mintoo is facing extreme harassment, humiliation and feel insecure and was also attacked near his chamber on 9th of January 2023 at 11 AM.
The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu strongly condemn the illegal act committed on part of the accused persons / miscreants against the Advocate Mr. Kh. Javed Iqbal Mintoo.
The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu call upon the police authorities of District Doda to immediately register the FIR against the accused persons and arrest them without any further delay and immediately resolve the issue by taking appropriate action in the matter.
Bhardwaj further stated that the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu stands with the District Bar Association, Doda for redressal of their grievances .
