| Police register FIR against ex- school principal, his wife | | |

Jammu, Jan 10: Police on Tuesday registered a FIR against Alok Betab ex-principal of Nagbani Higher Secondary School and his wife Meenu Betab at Police Station Domana Under Section 418,406,420, 467,468, 471 IPC on the charges of cheating, forgery fraud and criminal breach of trust etc.
The accused had allegedly produced forged documents in the court of law. The case was registered on the orders of city judge Jammu, who after due verification ordered the Police to register the case and proceed under law.
According to the details available with Early Times two FIRs were registered against Alok Betab in 2016 at Police Station Domana for sexual harassment, criminal intimidation and indecent behavior on the complaint of a lady teacher of the school.
As per the information investigation in both the cases was stayed by the High Court 5 years ago.
In the present case as per the allegations in the FIR Alok Betab and his wife who is also working in the same school, threatened and criminally intimidated one teacher of the school who had leveled serious charges of corruption and misbehavior against both the accused. She was threatened to take back her complaint and compromise with the accused as per the FIR.
He also produced a fake and forged document in the Honble Court purportedly signed and written by the said teacher and misled the court. The investigation of the case has been taken up by Police Domana. |
