| DC Doda launches 5 products of BFPC Ltd under FPO scheme | | |

DODA, Jan 11: Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today launched 5 Products of Bhaderkashi Fruit Products Company Ltd, here in the DC office Complex under Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) scheme. The locally made 100% pure and organic products launched today included Bhaderwah Rajmash, Bhaderwah Rice, Bhaderwah Walnut Giri, and Bhaderwah Kadam Pickles.
The products were launched in presence of office bearers of Bhaderkashi Fruit Products Company Ltd namely Ramneek Manhas (Chairman), Yog Raj Manhas (Director), Nirmal Singh (Director), and Faiz Ullah Sheikh (Director).
The DC appreciated the efforts of BFPC Ltd and said that the government through formation and promotion of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) is striving to increase the farmers’ income. He said that the launch of these five products shall pave the way for the launch of more such indigenous products by the local farmers under the FPO scheme. He further informed that more such groups under FPO are being formulated in the district to scale-up production, branding and marketing of the products. He said that the launched Products shall be available in markets at Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur and Jammu initially.
DC advised the company to advertise the products and tie-up with army canteens and tourism development agencies so that the products can be made available in Canteens and tourist places of the UT. |
