1/12/2023 11:01:53 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 12: NSS GGM Science College under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Rajesh Gupta and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized an awareness workshop on National Youth day. Rashtriya Yuva Diwas is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders. Thr theme this year Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat'. NSS volunteers Ananya Mahajan and Aakriti Sharma made sketches of Swami Vivekanand. Tributes were paid by lamp lightening, floral tributes, remembering their ideology. NSS volunteers sung NSS lakshya song. India's most celebrated spiritual leader, rightly said, "All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything." They only live, who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive." The motto being to sensitize youth to lead a purposeful life by contributing their time for the service of the Motherland. NSS volunteers spoke on the teachings of Swami ji. They also wrote the quotes and philosphies of Swami ji. Born into an aristocratic Bengali Kayastha family of Calcutta, Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality. He was influenced by his guru, Ramakrishna, from whom he learnt that all living beings were an embodiment of the divine self; therefore, service to God could be rendered by service to humankind. When you are doing any work, donot think of anything beyond. Do it as worship, as the highest worship, and devote your whole life to it for the time being. Arise, awake and stop not until the goal is achieved. Take risks in your life. If you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide. Take up one idea, make that one idea your life, think of it, dream of it, let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success. The workshop ended with shanti myntra and pledge to follow the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda. NSS volunteers watched the live session of 26th National Youth Festival inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India at 3.30 PM at Hubli-Dharward, Karnataka from 12th to 16th 2023.
