Poonch, Jan 11: ARTO Poonch Basharat Mahmood along with Inspector Gurmeet Singh Bali and team MVD Poonch on Wednesday Inaugurated a week-long awareness campaign as part of road safety week in district Poonch.
The week is being observed nationwide from January 11 to January 17 2023 and the theme of this year’s Road Safety Week is “Swachtha pakwada.
Inspector said the aim of the week is to inculcate traffic education and awareness among motorists, commuters, pedestrians including college and school goers and to make them aware about safety measure to be taken while on road.
During the week several activities will be carried out across the district including rallies, awareness camps, seminars, debates, painting competitions and other related programs.
About 100 vehicle operators were briefed about road safety awareness including the measures they can take to curb road accidents. The drivers and conductors in particular were given road safety tips. |
