Sheetal Nanda inaugurates Model CSC at RS Pura

JAMMU, Jan 14: Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Sheetal Nanda, today inaugurated Model Community Service Centre (CSC) at Village Banota, R S Pura here, established under SCA to SCSP of Centrally Sponsored Scheme Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Aabhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY).
Pertinently, under the scheme the department intends to establish 162 CSCs, of which, 30 CSCs established by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, in the first phase have been inaugurated in all the districts.
The idea behind this initiative is to provide all the G2C, B2C, Insurance, Digital Literacy, Banking, Micro ATM services at door steps of citizens living in these SC villages.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary said that since all the government services have been made online, the people should utilise these model CSCs for availing various government services like Ayushman Bharat, e-Shram, UDID, Social Welfare Schemes, PAN Card, Passport, Aadhar- enrolment, eKYC, authentication, application for certificates, scholarship information, banking and financial services like bank account opening, cash deposit/withdrawal, insurance, pension and other business to citizen services like ticket bookings for train, bus, flight. Besides providing services to the citizens, the CSCs are also creating local employment and are also being utilized for digital literacy programs.
On the occasion, Commissioner Secretary also distributed Ayushman Bharat, e-Shram, UDID, and PMGDISHA Certificates generated by the respective Model CSC among the beneficiaries
Vivek Sharma, Director General, Social Welfare Department Jammu, Fateh Chand, Sarpanch, Rangpur Sidhray and Shahnawaz Rashid, Vice President, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited and other officers of Social Welfare Department were present on the occasion.
