ADDC reviews progress achieved under Self Employment schemes at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh, held a meeting with officers from various departments to review the implementation of self-employment schemes in the district.
During the meeting, the ADDC discussed the latest progress of self-employment generation schemes in the district, including those from the departments of Employment, Horticulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Sericulture, Floriculture, Handicraft, Handloom, DUDA, NRLM, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, among others.
He emphasised the need for the line departments to work in tandem and ensure that the targets set are achieved in a timely manner. He also called upon the educated unemployed youth of the district to come forward and take advantage of the schemes meant for self-employment.
The ADDC exhorted the officers to ensure maximum coverage of unemployed youth of the district under different schemes and directed them to work in close coordination and help the youth in getting enrolled under various ambitious schemes.
General Manager DIC, Pankaj Anand, and other district heads of various departments were also present at the meeting.
