DDC reviews progress under RDD Sector in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Jan 16: The District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today conducted a comprehensive review of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDD) sector in Rajouri district. The review focused on the progress of District Capex, Area Development grants projects, the progress of AWCs, MGNREGA works, and other developmental works.
The review meeting was attended by District Programme Officer ICDS, Showket Malik; Chief Planning Officer Rajouri, Mohd Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Verma; DPO, Chandrakant Bhagat; Block Development Officers; and Child Development Project Officers. At the outset, Assistant Commissioner of Development Rajouri said that 1,982,851 person-days have been generated under MGNREGA so far. It was further informed that out of 182,680 workers, bank accounts of 157,466 are Aadhar-seeded, accounting to 86 percent. The DDC directed for 100 percent Saturation. The DDC also reviewed the status of timely payments under MGNREGA, the work completion rate, and the number of families who have availed 100 days of work under the scheme.
Inquiring about the construction of Anganwadi centers under the convergence mode, the meeting was informed that 79 Anganwadis have been taken up and are at different phases of execution.
The meeting was further informed that 21,663 and 1258 houses have been completed under PMAY-G and Awaas Plus scheme in the district, while out of Rs 4967.66 lacs funds released under District Capex, Rs 4,333.68 lakh have been expended.
During the review meeting, the District Development Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the progress of different schemes. He sought details of works done, and gave necessary instructions to the timely completion of works. He asked the officers to ensure that the projects are completed on time and within the sanctioned budget.
