The senior congress leader and former Dy. Chief Minister Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma has thanked the electorates of the state for their whole hearted participation in the recent elections and described it as a victory of democracy in the state.
As per party handout Sharma has expressed great satisfaction that people have rejected the call of the separatists and participated in large number in the electoral exercise reposing their faith in the democracy of the country. He also thanked the electorate for giving comfortable number of seats to the congress party to forge a coalition govt in the state despite efforts by BJP and others to vitiate the political atmosphere by rousing of religious sentiments of people in Jammu region and PDP and certain other force in Kashmir valley.
Sharma who contested form Jammu west constituency has thanked the electorates who have reposed faith in congress party in the constituency and voted for him. He said that he would continue to serve the people to the best of his capacity and efforts.
