Unprecedented work done in agriculture sector in Modi Government: Rekha

JAMMU, Jan 17: Keeping in view the interests of the public, furthering the activities in Jammu South Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu South conducted an introductory meeting of its important pillar, BJP Kissan Morcha here, at the Jammu South today. The meeting was chaired by BJP District Jammu South President Rekha Mahajan along with Ex MLA Prof Garu Ram Bhagat, District General Secretary Akash Chopra, District Vice President and Prabhari Kissan Morcha Tarsem Sharma, Mandal President RS pura-MiranSahib Vikram Sandhu, District Spokesperson K L Sharma, District team and Morcha Mandal Presidents were present in the meeting.
Rekha Mahajan in an Introductory meeting of BJP Kissan Morcha District Jammu South, the meeting was organized under the Presidentship of President Kissan Morcha District Jammu South Gurdeep Packaya.
Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Morcha General Secretary Pawan Kumar.
Rekha Mahajan said during the BJP Kissan Morch meeting that our farmers are venerable and adorable like the soldiers, guarding the borders of the country. She said Kissan morcha is an important part of the party and plays crucial role to build a strong bond between general public and the party. She said, Kissan, do a lot of sacrifices to feed the countrymen and added that farming and securing the borders are equally important vocations, which enrich the soul of the country Rekha added. She said that if the villages are prosperous and self-reliant, then the country itself will become prosperous and self-sufficient. Rekha while Addressing the farmers, and encouraging them, said that agriculture is our priority and the backbone of our economy. She said that there is a need to pioneer the agriculture sector because the traditional economy of agriculture and villages is the biggest strength of the country. She highlighted that today youth, retired employees, and people associated with the corporate sector are also coming forward for farming. People's interest in organic and natural farming is also increasing. "There has been a record export of agricultural products worth more than Rs. 4 lakh crore, unprecedented work done in the agriculture sector during the Modi Government Rekha, said."
Ex-MLA Gharu Ram said, no matter how adverse the situation, agriculture always proves helpful for our economy. He said that the merchant-entrepreneur should give the maximum price of agricultural produce to the farmer. This will not only make our farmers prosperous but also inspire the next generation to do farming. He encourages kissan morcha workers to connect with all segments of society and contribute to the development of the country.
