DEO Kishtwar reviews arrangements for celebration of NVD 2023

KISHTWAR, Jan 19: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav who is also the District Election Officer, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the celebration of upcoming National Voters Day. The meeting was attended by ADDC Sham Lal, ADC Kishori Lal Sharma, Dy DEO, Naresh Kumar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, DIO Amit Kumar, Deputy CEO, DYSSO, SVEEP Consultant, representatives of Degree Colleges and other concerned officers. Threadbare discussions were held in the meeting on the arrangements to be placed in and activities to be conducted on occasion of the NVD to be held on 25th January. Dy DEO and SVEEP Consultant apprised the meeting about various activities to be organised on the occasion. The meeting decided to hold the main programme in the KV School wherein the students, citizens and other stakeholders shall participate in the celebration of NVD. The DEO directed to launch an awareness campaign across the district for maximum participation of citizens in the electoral process and to encourage the newly eligible voters.
It was decided that the NVD pledge ceremony, screening of awareness films and "Main Bhi Bharat" Song, Quiz competition besides the felicitation ceremony of Youth Icons will be organised on the occasion.
The DEO directed for giving wide publicity to the programme through live streaming on social media platforms, besides through electronic and print media.
