DC finalises activities for 13th National Voters Day, Republic Day

DODA, Jan 20: District Administration Doda today finalised the colander of activities for the 13th National Voters Day (NVD) here in a virtual meeting chaired by District Election Officer, (DC), Vishesh Paul Mahajan,. The arrangements for the Celebration of Republic Day 2023 were also discussed and finalised during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, All SDMs, Dy. District Election Officer, Principal Degree College Doda, Chief Education Officer, Representatives of Principal GDC Bhaderwah/Kastigarh/Thathri and Tehsildars.
Ace India Shooter Chain Singh also attended the meeting.
The meeting listed different activities, and directions were passed to the concerned for the smooth conduct of the programme. The activities discussed included Pledge taking ceremony, Rally of students, and general public, and Celebrations at Community Hall Doda.
The meeting also decided to organise events involving students like competitions (essay, debate etc) and webinars in the GDCs/institutions on the theme "Nothing like Voting, I Vote For Sure"
It was also decided that events shall also be organized at each polling station by the BLOs to create awareness among the people about the importance and power of vote.
Further, it was decided to post the content on the social media handles with the hashtag #NVD2023, #MainBharatHun, #VoteDenejayegey, #Nothinglikevoting, and #Myvotemypower. All the concerned, including the District Information Officer, were directed to handle the social media campaign.
While reviewing the arrangements for Republic Day 2023, the DC asked all the departments to celebrate the national festival with great fervour and enthusiasm. He instructed the officers to decorate their offices and surroundings with tricolour lights. He urged the public, including shopkeepers/ business operators and others in the towns and in villages to celebrate the National Festival with great zeal, passion, and warmth to cherish India's 75 years of Independence.
