Scouts and Guides of Model Academy attend National Jamboree at Rajasthan

Jammu, Jan 20: 18th National Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree was organised from 4th to 10th January 2023 at Rohat, Pali district in Rajasthan. The theme of this year’s jamboree was ‘Progress with Peace’ which aimed at knitting the world together and learning about collaborative working.
It gave young cadets a platform to share their customs, food habits, handicrafts, culture, and religious practises with one another. The jamboree was inaugurated by the President, Madam Droupadi Murmu and concluded by Anurag Thakur, Union Youth Sports Minister, Government of India. A total of 37,000 scouts and guides from all over India and eight overseas contingents participated in the event.
Seven Scouts and two guides of Model Academy school under the leadership of Mr. Imran Ahmed, escort master participated in the event. Various competitions were organised during the week-long affair which included, Estate Gate, Rangoli, Folk Dance, March Past, Colour Party, Painting and Cultural Dress. The school bagged nine badges in different activities like electronic games, badge swapping, vocational hobby, and adventure activities like, monkey bridge climbing, rock climbing, parasailing, air cycling, drum rolling and water activities etc. The management of the school praised the efforts of the Bharat Scouts and Guides wing in encouraging the young boys and girls to work for humanity without any distinction of creed, race, or gender. Chairperson, Dr. Renu Gupta advised the Scouts and Guides to adopt the universal values and ethos which would guide them in future and enrich their lives in positive ways.
