Painting Competition in 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas held

Jammu, Jan 23: To encourage creative expressions of students, various activities are being organized by Ministry of Education in the schools across the country on, 23rd January, 2023.
The day is being observed as ‘ParakramDiwas’, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to inspire students on life of the great leader and instill in them spirit of patriotism. Simultaneously, in a unique initiative to cope up with examination stress amongst the students, a nation-wide painting competition is being organised in 500 different Kendriya Vidyalayas(KV) across the country.
The painting competition is expected to see diverse participation from students of various CBSE schools, students from State Board, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalayas in this unique creative expression of ideas. The theme of the competition is about becoming an ‘Exam Warrior ‘ based on the book written by the Prime Minister.
Total of fifty thousand students are supposed to take part in this painting competition across the country. Selected as one of the Nodal Schools, K.V.Kathua, where the event is organized, 100 students from different schools participated in the competition.
Broadly the 70 students have been invited from nearby schools of State Board and CBSE schools in the district, 10 participants from Navodaya Vidyalaya and 20 students from nodal KVs as well as nearby KVs. Five best entries were provided with a set of books of freedom fighters and topics of national importance and a certificate.
Students and teachers participated in this painting competition very enthusiastically.Winners of the events Shiavnshi Thakur, St. Xavier Convent Kathua, Vanita Bhagat KV Kathua, Nikita Khajuria DPS Kathua, Ridima Walia, Tiny Scholars Kathua, Anamika Katal, Jammu Sanskriti
Kv Kishtwar :- The nodal Kendriya Vidyalaya DPS, Kishtwar, organised the painting competition on Mantras of Hon’ble Prime Minister on 23.01.2023 under PPC 2023. Total 100 students from different schools including JNV Kishtwar, KV Kishtwar took participation in this competition.
The competition was started from 10.30 am to 12.30 PM. After that evaluated the paintings by the Jury members.
A welcome speech given by IC Principal Shri Manoj Kumar Verma to welcomed the Chief guest Sh. S. K Mishra (GM), Nominee Chairman VMC, Shri Ashok Dhanwal Senior Manager(HR), Jury members, participants & escort teachers and brief on the programme.
Shri S.K.Mishra delivered a motivational speech for the participants and importance of Examination without fear.
The winners of the competitions are Shivangi – KV Kishtwar,IrtikaJaan – Mother’s pride,Mahi Sharma – Little Angel HS school,Farheenmasoom Sheikh- Asraria valley HS school,Bushrajaan- Govt. Girls High secondary school.
The winners were awarded with the certificates as well as prizes and all the participants were awarded with a set of books on freedom fighters and topics of national importance.
The compering was done by Shri Tilak Raj , PRT and vote of thanks was given by Smt. UshmiBala towards the end of the program.
