| Natrang honors young achievers on New Year eve | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 31-Natrang honoured its future stars for their participation in the Chandigarh National Theatre Festival organized by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi where its young stars presented Balwant Thakur's 'Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai' at Tagore Theatre. They were presented certificates of appreciation, issued by the Chairman Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, in recognition to their excellent performance of the play. The festival featured best of the theatre groups of the country and Natrang was the only group which presented a play by children. This play has already made a mark and has been staged at over twenty National events held in various parts of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur said that it is important to catch them young but at the same time it is even more important to encourage and pat them young. People get recognition, support and patronage at such an age when they loose all their creative energy and enthusiasm. Best course should be to identify the young talent and provide them the platform and right direction in the field. He complimented parents and the educational institutions for encouraging children in the creative fields. Young artists who were honored on the occasion included Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Rahul Singh, Kibria Nasir, Gauri Thakur, Juhi Singh, Mokesh Veer, Mohd. Yaseen, Rudrapratap Singh, Girika Khanna, Gopi Sharma, Manasvani Oswal, Sanjeev Gupta, Satish Lalotra, Sahil Anand, Sahitya Sharma, Sajara Qadir and Mukta Passi.
