Director RDD reviews construction of houses under PMAY-G (SECC)

JAMMU, Jan 24: Director, Rural Development Department Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali today chaired a meeting through video conference mode to review the progress of PMAY-G (SECC) here from his Office Chamber.
Assistant Commissioners Development Udhampur, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Poonch and Ramban along with Block Development Officers of 50 low performing blocks of different Districts of Jammu Division attended the meeting.
He took extensive review of the low performing Blocks and directed the BDOs to expedite the pace of completion of houses under PMAY-G (SECC) / Awasplus as per targets already allocated to each District.
He further directed to issue notice to the beneficiaries who have not started the work of houses despite receipt of Installments.
He also impressed upon the low performing blocks to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets well before timeline. He also issued strict instructions to clear the gaps between target and sanction Ist installment to all the eligible cases as per guidelines before 31st January, 2023.
All the Assistant Commissioner Developments/Block Development Officers were directed to ensure that all the beneficiaries who have received all their installments complete their houses by 31.01.2023.
He also advised them to coordinate with the PMAY cell in case of any technical glitch/issue.
Instructions were also issued for maintaining transparency in the process of timely completion of houses as per Targets assigned to each Block.
