| Bhandari reviews Guru Gobind Singh’s pageant arrangements | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, DECEMBER 31- Deputy Commissioner; Jammu, deep K Bhandari convened a meeting of senior officers here this morning to discuss and finalize the arrangements for Guru Gobind Singh’s centenary being observed on January 03, 2009.
Representatives of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee were also present.
Preparations for the Guru Gobind Singh procession were discussed and finalized after threadbare discussions with the participants. The arrangements included uninterrupted supply of water and electricity, smooth regulation of traffic, appropriate security, fire services, sanitation and first aid.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers from various departments to ensure timely and proper arrangements for the smooth conduct of the revered procession. He gave special instructions for traffic and security arrangements so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.
Senior officers from police and civil administration attended the meeting.
