JAMMU, Jan 27: To celebrate the 74rd Republic Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized culture programe with enthusiasm in its 145th Friday Series Musical Concert "Uncha Rahe Trianga" in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu. The function was inaugurated by Yash Pal Sharma, Jammu Municipal Corporater ward no 35 as Chief Guest who unfurled the National Flag along with V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Sheikh Sajjad Poonchi, President Kehkashan cultural Organization J&K, Dr. M.L. Dogra, former Regional Director Song and Drama Division, Mukesh Singh, Media Person-Newspaper - The Shadow were the Guest of Honors. V.K. Magotra in his presidential address greeted the people of JKUT on the auspicious occasion and lauded the efforts of M.L. Dogra Chairman BLSKS for making all out efforts in reviving the folk traditions of the region by statging various cultural programme from time to time in every nook & Corner of JKUT. The programme commenced with National Anthem "Jan Gan Man" and "Vande Matram" and "Gan tantar Hamara Kirtiman". The chief guest recalled the contribution of freedom-fighters in attaining India's Freedom & exhorted the people to preserve its freedom at all cost. The Counselor exhorted the people of Jammu to come forward to make Jammu city clean as advocated by the PM Narinder Modi. The chief guest administered pledge of National Unity Cleanliness to the Gathering on the occasion. He assured the organization for all support / Cooperation for making city - Smart & clean from Jammu Municipal corporation as chairman of swatch Bharat Campaign. Sheik Sajjas Poonchi eminent scholar on the occasion hailed the efforts of BLSKS in Strengthening preserving cultural heritage of India. Poonchi Advocated only culture of the Nation can enrich us and make us stronger to meet any eventuality by celebrating our National Festivals. After the flag hosting an impressive Traditional cultural program was presented by the students of Music & Computer Institution , artists of BLSKS & Sangam Tru Art production . The patriotic items special designed by the artistes like "Ham Sab Ek Hain", " Swatch Bharat Hai", "Suno- Suno Bharat Vasio", "Uncha Rahe Tiranga" and Musical Play "Swatch Bharat" were the special features of the program.
Earlier welcoming the audience Dr. M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS highlighted the importance of the day and said though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it enjoyed the true spirit of Independence Day on January 26, 1950 when the Constitution of India finally came into force. The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, took oath as the First President of India at the Durbar Hall in the Government House and this was followed by the Presidential drive along a five-mile route to the Irwin Stadium, where he unfurled the National Flag. Recalling contribution of Neta Ji whose 127th Birth Anniversary celebrated recently as "Parakram Divas" it was impossible to attain India Freedom without his contribution. After Independence we got our all the fundamental rights in our own Nation, our Motherland. We all should feel proud to be an Indian. M.C. Kotwal, Gen Secty. BLSKS, said in his speech Republic Day commemorates the implementation of the Constitution on January 26, 1950. India attained independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, and it wasn't until January 26, 1950, that the Constitution came into effect. India became a sovereign and a republic state. The composite Culture should continue to enrich our culture of Indian traditions for which BLSKS has contributed a lot in the hilly track of J&K State for the peace and fostering the spirits of Communal Harmony.
