Rahul skips Art 370, follows nationalist agenda
1/30/2023 10:48:28 PM
Bharat Jodo Yatra culminated on Monday with Rahul Gandhi walking under the tricolor in the streets of Srinagar.
Rahul unfurling tricolor at Lal Chowk in Srinagar provided an opportunity to the BJP leaders to remind the scion of Gandhi family that his party leaders used to call unfurling of National Flag as “RSS agenda” but he too is toeing the RSS line as there is nothing wrong in carrying forward the nationalist agenda.
“Though late, Congress has started working on the nationalist agenda of the RSS. We want to tell Rahul Gandhi and his party leaders to learn from the RSS members who have nationalist sentiments in their hearts and work for the nation”, said Ravinder Raina, president of the J&K unit of BJP.
Rahul reaching Srinagar and unfurling the National Flag at Lal Chowk and not talking about the scrapping of Article 370 has proven beyond doubt that the Congress has endorsed the decision of PM Modi led government to end the 70-year old long status-quo of J&K and its complete merger with the Union of India. And it’s in no mood about promising restoration of Article 370 as the “grand old party” of the country is aware of the fact that the entire nation has endorsed PM Modi’s decision to end uncertainty over J&K once for all.
After completing the yatra, Rahul said that the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir has deteriorated. But he was reminded by the BJP leaders that had the situation not been fine he (Rahul) would never have got an opportunity to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. They told him that he should express his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working hard to restore normalcy in J&K.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra has ended on a positive note for his party as more than anyone else it united the Congress leader and helped Rahul to bridge the gap between his party colleagues.
By undertaking the yatra, Rahul Gandhi has understood one thing that reaching out to people is an important part of politics. He has made an attempt to tell the people across the country that his party exists and is gearing up for 2024 parliamentary polls and it needs the support of people to make a comeback.
