Bharat Bhushan kick-starts work on WSS Old Garota worth Rs 4.73 Cr

JAMMU, Jan 30: The development in rural areas has received massive impetus under the BJP regime which has resulted in tremendously bridging the gap between rural and urban life. The BJP led Government in the Centre is fully sensitive towards the issues of the people and is taking comprehensive measures for redressal of the same at the earliest.
This was stated by Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, DDC Chairman Jammu while starting a development work of Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Old Garota at Panchayat Garota in presence of party workers and prominent people of the area. The WSS Old Garota will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 4.75 under the Central Government’s prestigious scheme Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). This project included repair & replacement of old machinery & electrical equipment, stand by machinery, retaining wall, augmentation of distribution system and digging of another tube-well in the area to fulfill the shortage of water scarcity.
The DDC Chairman said that the BJP led Central Government is implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in partnership with states and union territories to ensure every rural household in the country has functional household tap connection for drinking water in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis leading to improvement in their living standards. For this, the Jammu district alone has got a major share under this scheme to provide household tap connections which will definitely improve the ease of living, he added.
Bharat Bhushan, while interacting with the people of the area, reiterated his commitment to ensure overall development of district Jammu with special emphasis on rural and far-off areas. He assured that besides development of the area he will ensure that the benefits of various schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy reach the doorsteps of the people. He said only then we can say that the objective of good governance has been achieved.
The senior BJP leader also directed the party workers to take the achievements of the Narendra Modi led Central Government to every house of district Jammu and also asked them to reach out to every single house in the area to highlight the achievements of the Modi Government in the past eight years.
Among those who were present include BDC Chairman Kuldeep Raj, Omi Khajuria District President BJP Jammu North, Ajay Sharma District General Secretary North, Sarpanch Lower Garota A, Partap Singh Rana, Ashoi Kerni Mandal President, Mahant ji, District President Kisan Morcha Raman Singh Chib and prominent workers of BJP.
