| JURSEA critical of cut in upper age limit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Presidents, Jammu University Research Scholoars executive association (JURSEA) Vikas Sharma have criticized the decision of J&K public service commission (PSC) in curtailing upper age limit for General category candidates. Sharma in a meeting of JURSEA members said there is a wide spread unrest among the aspirants of open category candidates since notice has been issued in the regard. Sharma has said, the move of the administration of keeping the upper age limit at 35 years y reducing form 37 years is a deliberate attempt to debar the open category candidates who are above the age of 35 years. If the age of general category candidates has been curtailed there the age limits of other category must also have been curtailed by the administration. He said, only reducing the upper age limit of general category candidates the administration has acted like a step mother and added. It may be noted that there is wide spread unemployment in J&K and such a decision is always unwelcomed by the society at large. It must be noted that the examinations of Kashmir administrative service are not held at regular intervals. The last examination was held in the year 2005. And now it is going to be held in year 2009 after a gap of 4 years, he said. The meeting was attended by Anuradha Goswami, Kamal Deep Singh, Ravinder Singh sahi, Paras Shastri, Rakesh Chib, Gurcharan Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Vijay Kumar, Sandeep Singh.
