Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 2: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, today chaired a meeting to review onboarding of departmental schemes on MyScheme online portal at Civil Secretariat.
Pertinently, the objective of MyScheme portal is to streamline the government-user interface for government schemes and benefits. It is a national platform for searching and discovering government schemes based on a citizen's eligibility. The platform aims to save users time and effort by eliminating the need to search multiple government websites and read lengthy guidelines.
ACS was informed that schemes of Agriculture Department like Kissan Credit Card, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanization, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Krishonnati Yojana - Sub Mission On Seed And Planting Material (SMSP) and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana are onboard on MyScheme.
The meeting was attended by officers from Jammu including Director Agriculture, KK Sharma, Director Horticulture, Ram Savak, Director Animal Husbandry, Shubhra Sharma, Director Sheep Husbandry, Krishan Lal, Director HPMC, Dr Arun Manhas, Director Fisheries, J&K, Mohammad Farooq Dar and Director Horticulture (P&M), Vikas Sharma while officers from Kashmir and representatives of NIC participated online.
The portal features a user-friendly interface and the ability to search different schemes. The platform also provides an option to search schemes state-wise and according to ministries.
The platform also offers a well-designed user journey module and the ability to check eligibility for schemes by answering simple yes or no questions. The platform integrates with Aadhaar, DigiLocker and Meri Pehchan services and can be accessed through multiple platforms linked through APIs.
The candidates can apply for available benefits directly through the myScheme portal by providing a simplified user interface and easy-to-understand information in one place.
ACS emphasized that myScheme would facilitate easy discovery of schemes, simplify the application process and bring transparency in analysis and tracking of schemes. It would also help in their enhanced and targeted delivery, he added.
