JAMMU, Feb 2: Under the aegis of G20 India 2023 NSS GGM Science College under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Rajesh Gupta and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized a fruit distribution workshop in the slum. The awareness was organized with a noble and holistic goal, Say No To Hunger and to increase nutritional awareness and responsiveness among young children, adolescent girls, pregnant ladies and lacting mothers about vital nutrition behaviours. NSS Volunteers along with PO interacted with the children and elders and made them aware about the balanced diet. The essential nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats, minerals to be present in the diet, their benefits and deficiencies causing diseases and distributed fruits among them. The Principal applauded the efforts of NSS volunteers and Program Officer. The theme of India's G20 Presidency - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth · One Family · One Future" - is drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad. |
