| JKAP 13 bn celebrates raising day | | | Early Times Report
DODA, JAN 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police 13th Battalion today celebrated 20th raising day in Doda.
The Deputy Commissioner Doda, Syed Sharief-ud-Din was the guest of honour and Senior superintendent of Police Doda, Prabhat Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the commandant of 13th battalion JKAP Mr. Ranjeet Kanwal gave a brief resume of the achievements made by the battalion in the state. He said that the unit has performed his duties with devotion, dedication and high sense of professionalism in maintaining the law and order of the region as well as in the state, and said that the men of this battalion have represented the state in various Athletic Meets also.
He also briefed that the two DGP medals have been conferred to this unit for Sgct. Mushtaq Ahmed and Ranjeet Kanwal. He lauded the role of unit in protecting the life and property of the people and said that the desired goal can be achieved through active coordination and professionalism in the service to mankind.
Later, an exhibition match of volley ball, tug of war and cultural programme were also organized by the unit which mesmerized the audience.
Prizes were distributed among the participants by the chief guest on the occasion
