| Employees happy at timely pay report | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JAN 1: A high level delegation of the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), a conglomerate of various Employees and Public Sector Employees Unions of Jammu and Kashmir, today called on the Governor, Mr N N Vohra, and expressed their gratitude for timely submission of the Report by the State Pay Committee and the Committee constituted for addressing pay-related issues in respect of the employees of the Public Sector Undertakings. The aforesaid Committees had been set-up by the Governor to look into the various demands of the employees, including implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission Report, enhancement in the retirement age, pay anomalies, enhancement of wages and various other demands of the Public Sector employees. The delegation was informed that the recommendations of the Committees would be forwarded to the new Government for urgent consideration. The Committee assured the Governor that the employees would continue to work with zeal and devotion under the new Government, as they have been performing in the past in the true spirit of public service. The delegation comprised Mr Nazir Ahmed Mir, Mr Khursheed Alam, Mr Ram Kumar Sharma, Mr Abdul Majeed Bhat, Mr Mohammed Gafoor Dar, Mr Prem Pal Singh, Mr Jagmohan Sadhotra, Mr Ghulam Mehdi and Mr Farooq Ahmed. The Joint Consultative Committee also wished the Governor a very happy and prosperous New Year.
