Kavinder slams Tharoor, Mehbooba for showering praises on slain Pak General Musharraf

Jammu, Feb 5: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today slammed Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for praising former Pakistan Premier General Pervez Musharraf on his demise after a prolonged illness in Dubai.
Speaking at the working committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party District South in Jammu, the party stalwart said that those who are appreciating the slain Pakistani General should first go through the annals of history and know about the role which he played against the country especially at the time of Kargil war.
He said that it is shameful that both Congress and PDP leadership has been showing extraordinary haste in condoling the demise of the Pakistani general as if he had done so many philanthropic acts in favour of India and her people.
Kavinder said Congress and PDP have always adopted a pro Pak stand, which is unacceptable and the people will give the befitting response in the ensuing polls in the UT as well as across India in parliamentary elections.
Addressing the party workers, Kavinder asked party cadres to girdle up their loins and get ready for ensuing elections in the union territory. He laid stress on strengthening the organizational structure of the party by sensitizing the grassroot level workers and distributing the duties among the cadre so that there remains no doubt among the party workers about the line of action in the coming days.
Kavinder asked the party workers to work in coordination and unity, and ensure victory of the party in the upcoming Panchayat, Assembly and Parliamentary polls in the union territory.
He said that action of each and every party worker whether working in remote village or in big urban centres matters a lot and therefore every party worker should act with extreme sincerity to ensure positive outcome in the ensuing polls because BJP cannot afford defeat in any form in J&K as it has accomplished a lot for national cause and therefore its victory is a must to continue this journey for the benefits of the people and the country.
