Notorious drug Peddler arrested by Kishtwar police with Heroine

Kishtwar, Feb 5: Kishtwar Police in it's continuous drive against the anti-social elements, detained 01 notorious drug smuggler from Shakti Nagar of Kishtwar District and recovered 52 Grams Heroine like substance.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal said that Police developed a specific information related to sale of narcotics drug in a grocery shop located at Shakti Nagar area of Kishtwar town and accordingly special team was established headed by SHO PS Kishtwar Inspector Syed Abid Shah Bukhari under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar Ashish Gupta was successful in recovering Heroine (Chitta) like substance from the said shop and seized on spot in presence of Tehsildar Kishtwar and accordingly arrest was made.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Iqbal S/o Bashir Ahmed Khanday R/o Keshwan A/P Shaktinagar Kishtwar.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 20/2023 U/Sec. 8/21/22 NDPS act was registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation was taken up. It is assured by the SSP Kishtwar that during investigation the backward & forward linkages related to drug peddling shall be extensively dealt so as to book the syndicates under the prevention and substantives laws.
SSP Kishtwar while giving tough message for drug peddlers added that there is no space for Drug Peddlers in Kishtwar. He said Drug peddlers should shun the path of spoiling our generation and must return to mainstream otherwise they will be dealt with Iron hands.
