JAMMU, Feb 8: Department of Chemistry School of Sciences Cluster University of Jammu under the guidance of Coordinator Chemistry Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized a rapid fire e - QUIZ for periodic table awareness for UG and PG students of the Department on 8th Feb. 2023 under the aegis of G 20 India celebrating azadi ka amrut mahotsav. The periodic table is an arrangement of chemical elements within the form of a table based on their atomic numbers and electronic configurations. Born on February 8, 1834, Mendeleev is popularly known as the "Father of Periodic Table". He formulated the Periodic Law, created a farsighted version of the periodic table of elements, and used it to correct the properties of some already discovered elements and also to predict the properties of eight elements yet to be discovered. Mendeleev's table was published in 1869, correctly organised the 63 known elements based on their atomic mass. The table was expanded and refined over the years with further discoveries. E- Certificates were given to students securing 80% and above. |
