DC Poonch reviews progress of works under BADP, ABDP & SSY

POONCH, Feb 11: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet today reviewed the physical and financial progress of the development works under Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Apirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and Seema Smridh Yojna (SSY) here at a meeting with concerned officers held in the DC Office complex. The DDC inquired about the physical status of the ongoing works, number of schemes completed and headways achieved so far in the current fiscal.
It was informed in the meeting that 149 works have been proposed under BADP out of which 47 have been completed and rest are in progress, while 55 works have been proposed under SSY, of which 54 are being executed, 13 completed & others are in progress. Similarly 11 works have been taken up under ABDP of which 9 have been completed and the rest are in progress.
The DC asked the stakeholder departments including Jal Shakti, Irrigation, PWD, Rural Development, Social Welfare and other concerned officers to put in all out efforts to complete the projects taken up under BADP, ABDP and SSY completed by 31st of March, 2023.
The DC also called upon executing agencies to adhere to the laid down guidelines besides ensuring proper utilization of funds. He also directed the concerned officers to keep a check on the quality of work so as to create durable assets for the benefit of the people.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Poonch, Maqsood Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain, PO ICDS, Chief Agriculture Officer, Rakesh Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr. Anis Altaf Nabi, Chief Education Officer, Bishamber Das, Superintendent ITI, Mendhar, Executive Engineer’s of different department,
