Pradeep Dutta bags Award for bold Journalism

Jammu, Feb 12: Senior Editor Times Now, Pradeep Dutta, bagged the Gash Taruk -2023 Award - initiated by Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) - for bold and hard hitting journalism.
Dutta was given this award by Member Parliament Ghulam Nabi Khatana and Additional Chief Secretary of Union Territory of J&K Atul Dulloo during ‘Heyrath Milan’ function organised by YAIKS here today to reconnect the displaced community to their lost roots.
Pradeep Dutta is the only journalist from Jammu and Kashmir to cover Russia- Ukraine war. He was also appreciated for his war coverage amid flurrying bullets and bomb explosions in Ukraine war zone.
The other known personality who bagged this years Gash Tarukh award was Waheed Jeelani, renowned singer of international fame.
Bittu ji Bhat, father of martyr Rahul Bhat - who was killed by terrorists inside tehsildar’s office in Central Kashmir last year - was also felicitated on the occasion.
Last year Pradeep Dutta was adjudged best journalist during the prestigious 14th Edition of ENBA - 2021 news broadcasting awards. He got this award in spot reporting category for his reportage on Pakistan terror tunnel.
In year 2022, Pradeep Dutta, was conferred with state award by Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for his excellent and bold journalism.
Dutta hailed the Gash Taruk award as a reward of complete team effort of his colleagues in Jammu bureau office and in Delhi, especially his video journalist, Amit Bharrdwaj, who with his creative camera work enhances quality and value of even routine reportage.
Pradeep - one of India’s best known broadcast journalists, with over 20 years of experience in covering counter insurgency and counter terror operations was in Ukraine for more than month covering various aspects of Russia-Ukraine war from ground zero.
