New Delhi, Jan 04: Ahead of the conference of Chief Ministers to be chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday, BJP leader L K Advani would be holding a meeting of NDA chief ministers on Monday.
The meeting scheduled to be held in the evening at Advani's residence would also be attended by party chief Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders.
"The meet is aimed at arriving at a common platform ahead of the meeting with the Prime Minister on Tuesday. It would be attended by Chief Ministers and Home Ministers of NDA-ruled states," party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told media today.
The Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states are also slated to hold a separate meeting with Advani and Singh ahead of the NDA meet.
On Tuesday, in the first such exercise after taking over the reins of Home Ministry, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will elicit views from all state governments on measures to beef up the security machinery to check terrorism in the wake of Mumbai terror.
Tuesday's conclave will be followed by a meeting of Chief Ministers of nearly a dozen Naxal-affected states, including Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Orissa, on Wednesday.
