| Police-public interactive meeting held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 20: As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held by Reasi Police at Village Sullah Panassa, Tehsil & District Reasi. The meeting was chaired by Master Popsy- JKPS, Addl. SP Reasi attended by Civil Society members and prominent persons of the area. At around 35/40 persons attended the meeting. During the meeting, participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police Department will be resolved on priority and that of Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. While speaking on the occasion, it was reiterated that policing at grass root level in the District would be revamped to enhance proficiencies of the cops and to develop confidence among the people.
During the meeting Master Popsy also aware the participants about the ill effects of evil activities and urged to avoid drug addiction, alcoholism and to refrain from indulging in anti national activities. Various issues like Militancy, Bovine Smuggling, Cyber crime & drug abuse were discussed. The participants were advised to remain alert in this regard and also seek the assistance of participants by sharing timely information of those miscreants whose activities are anti social in the society so that Police may take action as per law against these persons.
At the end, the participants appreciated the efforts of District Police Reasi for building a communication bridge between the public and further expressed that such meetings shall be continued in future also. |
