Jammu, Jan 04- Reacting to non- rotation of Chief Minister in Jammu and Kashmir, Leela Karan Sharma, Convenor, Shri Amranath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SAYSS) today said that ‘no to rotational CM in J&K is UPA’s total surrender before Kashmiri leaders’. Talking to the media persons here today, Leela Karan Sharma said “saying no to Jammu Chief Minister on rotational basis is the sheer surrender of UPA government before Kashmiri leaders and injustice with Jammu’s interest”. Referring to justice, equality and political right to Jammu region, Sharma said that Samiti has decided to convene a meeting with all the MLA’s of Jammu province and appealed them to unite irrespective of party politics for the cause of Jammu and to end discrimination with the region. While welcoming the people’s verdict in election- 2008, he said that since the National Conference and Congress is going to form government in the state, Samiti wanted that Government should take care of the aspirations of Jammu and Ladakh and provide justice to Jammu. “Government should also undo the freezing of delimitation commission till 2026; create separate competent authority for Jammu, separate development board etc”, Samiti convenor demanded. Maintaining that Samiti will fight till Jammu gets its due share and rights, he categorically said ‘Sangarsh Samiti will fight till discrimination with Jammu region not ends, refugees of PoK, West Pakistan not get their just and genuine rights’. On the occasion, the Samiti leader strongly condemned newspaper report published in National newspaper that Samiti may float a political party to press for Jammu statehood. Prof Narinder Singh Samiti spokesperson described the report as self planted, baseless and far from truth.
