| Demand for rotating Chief Minister’s seat | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 04- Taking a strong exception over UPA decision of saying no to rotational Chief minister in J&K, Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement urged UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh that there should be rotational Chief Minister in J&K State Addressing media persons here today, Dimple said ‘as the people of Jammu region have participated vigorously in the assembly elections and polling turn over in the region was more than the Kashmir Valley so State should also have the Chief Minister from Jammu region. Congratulating Omar Abdullah for being the Chief Minister of the J&K State, he urged upon the Chief Minister designate Omar Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah to ensure equal development of all the three regions in the J&K State, end discrimination by implementing delimitation commission. Sunil Dimple appealed Omar, Sonia Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh to implement Delimitation Commission and lift the ban and barrier on the implementation and delimitation commission till 2026. He said that now it becomes the duty of all the major political parties, the National Conference, Congress, Bhartiya Janta Party and others to honour the verdict of people and fight for the development, employment, end of terrorism, improvement, betterment of the people and for immediate implementation of delimitation commission without any further delay to stop discrimination with the Jammu region.
