SKUAST-Jammu conducts industrial exposure for students

Jammu, Feb 21: The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) of NAHEP-IDP, SKUAST-Jammu conducted industrial visit of B.Tech. (Biotech.) 3rd and 4th year students to industrial units at Samba under the overall guidance of Prof. Nazir A. Ganai, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu/Kashmir and Dr. B.C. Sharma, PI and Coordinator of the project.
A batch of 35 B.Tech. students accompanied by Dr. Narinder Panotra visited United Phosphorus Limited (UPL) and Krishi Rasayan Exports Pvt. Ltd. The students were exposed to working of the Industrial Units as well as working protocols. They were encouraged to opt for jobs in industries as well as become entrepreneurs by setting up their own enterprises. The visit at UPL was facilitated by Dr. Sanjay Mishra (HR Head) and Mr. Amit Choudhary (HR), while at Krishi Rasayan Exports Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Vimal Kumar, General Manager guided the students. Earlier, students were seen off for visit at SKUAST-Jammu Chatha Campus by Prof. Vikas Sharma, Associate Coordinator and Prof. R.K. Salgotra, Nodal Officer Academics NAHEP-IDP, SKUAST-Jammu in presence of Dr. Sanjay Guleria, Nodal Officer III Cell and Dr. Manmohan Sharma, Professor and Coordinator of the visit.
