DDC listens to people’s issues in Block Diwas meeting at Jhulaas

POONCH, Feb 22: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet presided over the function at Community Hall Panchayat Jhulaas block Poonch.
The district heads of line departments and sectoral officers were also present.
During the programme, the PRI representative and others highlighted their issues and demands for overall development of the area.
The specific issues raised by the PRIs and locals included augmentation of water and power supply, completion of pending installation work of transformers, construction of 50,000 gallon tank, CSC at Jullas Chowk, Model village Scheme for Jullas and Salotri, Beautification of Community building, requirement of 15 electric poles for W. No 1 Swamaar Salotri, clearance of pending Material liability, construction of Culvert at Jullas Upper, installation of transformer at village lower Dara Dullian , implementation of PHE Schemes in salotri, Magnar and other panchayats, ATM for Salotri and Jhulaas main, renovation of Agriculture/ Animal Centre, black topping of Middle School Salotri to upper Salotri road, Main road to Shamshaanghat Upper Panchayat Dara Dullian road and various issues related to their areas.
All the grievances and issues of the people were listened by the Deputy Commissioner patiently and those of immediate nature were redressed on the spot.
He also asked the officers to maintain close coordination with PRI members so that equitable development is ensured and people do not face any problem.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the public that the funds for the development of Jhulaas Community hall would be provided under government scheme to start the developmental works such as seating arrangement, lighting arrangement, parking in the premises of Community hall, boundary Wall etc.
The DC directed the Chief Education Officer to provide the teaching staff in all schools and ensure availability of basic facilities in all the schools including those in rural areas.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC Member Poonch, Chowdhary Abdul Ghani asked the Executive engineers and officers to complete all pending works so that people can get benefit of government schemes.
The DDC Member Ghani announced Rs 5 lakh for the development of Jhulaas Community Hall.
