SCON bades farewell to outgoing students

JAMMU, Feb 22: Stephens College of Nursing (Under the aegis of Dr. Aparna Educational Trust) bid Farewell to the outgoing class of B.Sc.(N) - 4th year and GNM 3rd year batch 2019-23 with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with teachers and friends to reminisce the joyous moments.
Dr. Kamal Saini (IPS, IGP Retd.) and Sativinder Saini (Director SIPS) presided over the programme. Manoj Kotru ( Administrator SCON), Muni Dhar (Principal SCON) and Kheema Peshin (Vice- Principal of SCON)
Dr. Kamal Saini highly appreciated the students for their wondrous and captivating programmes and faculty members for their support and dedication towards their brilliant work. He also extended best wishes to the outgoing class B.Sc.(N) 4th year and GNM 3rd year. Manoj Kotru inspired and motivated the students to do the best in their forthcoming nova journey of life and to continue their true spirit of serving others and to promote Nursing. He extended best wishes to the outgoing classes of appreciating them for performing astounding roles in the journey of their four years both in academics and clinical.
Muni Dhar told about the Forte of these outgoing batches and extended best wishes to them. She further congratulated the Faculty Members for their sincere contribution in the growth of college and welfare of the students. Kheema Peshin also extended best wishes to the students for their bright career and future.
The theme of the farewell was "Poka Chaitra". It was organised in KUMAR PALACE.
The farewell commenced with the lamp lighting which was followed by motivational & devotional song which was sung by Gurjot, Nasir, Akash, Shameem and Pawandeep Singh . It created the positive and pious ambiance in the Hall.
Muni Dhar (Principal SCON) welcomed all the guests and students with her compassionate and benevolent words. She also appreciated these batches for continuously for enthusiastically in various competition and raising the bar of perfection. She said that these batches have left legacy for their juniors.
Azhar Zahoor and Neha Jamwal of B.Sc(N) 4th year were crowned as Mr.& Ms. Farewell. Tanpreet and Sheetal Choudhary of GNM 3rd year were crowned the Titles of Mr. & Ms. Farewell. The Title of Mr. Talent was accorded to Rohit of GNM 3rd year, Title of Mr. Personality was earned by Irfan Shiekh and Radhika Bimotra earned the title of Miss Personality. The students performed stupendous and mind blowing performances. The Dogri and Kashmiri Dance mesmerized the spectators. The Bhangra fascinated everyone. Then there was 1st round of Ramp Walk of the outgoing classes. Ten students were selected among all and then they were crowned different titles on the basis of overall performance and different tasks. The students of B.Sc(N) 3rd year and GNM 2nd year enraptured the attendees. Thee students of B.Sc(N) 3rd year also presented an amusing and Funny Skit depicting the memorable moments spent in the college during the journey of their 4 years. It was also captured in the PPT made by them very emotional and poignant.
Nand Kishore of B.Sc(N) 3rd year recited a very heart touching poem which was dedicated to the outgoing batches. The whole programme was riveting. All the attendees tapped their feet. The programme was coordinated by the coordinators of B.Sc(N) 3rd year and GNM 2nd year i.e. Ifshana and Sandip Singh. Saniya, Rahila, Ikhlaq and Pooja anchored the programme in a very scrutinized and systematic manner.
There was cake ceremony too. Everyone enjoyed the programme to a great extent. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Manshu Skolia of B.Sc(N) 3rd year. The programme culminated with DJ Dance.
