Dy mayor kick starts construction work at Digiana

JAMMU, Feb 23: Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria started the construction work of interlocking tiles and drain at ward 45 Digiana in Bahu constituency. Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria was accompanied by Jammu District President & Corporator Parmod Kapahi and officials of Municipal Corporation. This construction work will be done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that a deputation from the area had approached him. The deputation apprised that the condition of roads and drains in the area is pathetic and it should be resolved soon. On this, he immediately directed the officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation to prepare the estimate of the lane of said area and today due to his efforts the construction work of the street and drain has started. The Deputy Mayor appealed to the people to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their area to keep the environment clean and green. He also urged the people to follow all necessary safety and health guidelines while the construction work is in progress. Deputy Mayor Billawaria said that after the demise of BJP Corporator Raj Rani, the local people should not consider themselves helpless. He assured the people of ward 45 Digiana that the Jammu Municipal Corporation is committed to provide all possible assistance in time. He said that every BJP worker is committed to fulfill the resolution taken by BJP corporator Raj Rani to make ward no. 45 Digiana a modern ward.
Deputy Mayor Jammu said that he will try his best that no roads in ward 45 Digiana remain unpaved and drinking water pipeline work should also be completed in all areas. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for the development works of Ward 45 and development works will be done at every level.
He said that the Central Government is continuously providing all kinds of basic facilities to the people under the Municipal Corporation. He said that for the better development of the city, development works are being done in various areas and appropriate steps will be taken wherever development work is required. The local people thanked the Deputy Mayor Jammu Billawaria for the long standing demand of the area.
