ADGP Armed J&K promotes 662 Police Personnel

JAMMU, Feb 23: Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K issued the promotion orders of 662 Police Personnels which includes promotions of 01 ASI to the rank of SI, 05 HCs to the rank of ASI, 04 SgCts to the rank of HCs and 652 Constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables. Promotion Orders stands issued today from Armed Police Headquarters J&K Jammu.
The promotion orders of 01 Assistant Sub Inspector to the rank of Sub Inspector, 05 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspectors, 04 Selection Grade Constables to the Rank of Head Constables and 652 Constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables have been issued after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by ADGP Armed J&K as its Chairman assessed the cases of eligible ASI, HCs, SgCts and constables as per their seniority and found them fit for promotion to their next ranks in light of the prevalent promotion norms.
The ADGP Armed J&K congratulated the newly promoted officials and wished Goodluck to them and their families. He hoped that newly promoted officials shall continuously demonstrate discipline, hard work and dedication towards their respective assignments so that their colleagues may also get inspired and follow them accordingly.
S.J.M Gillani-IPS appreciated the efforts of his Staff Officer Mahmood Ahmed-SSP and team of his officers and DPC members for completing the task in a time bound manner.
The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by S.J.M Gillani-IPS comprised of Shri Shamsher Hussain-SSP Commandant JKAP-13th Bn, Shri Balwant Raj-SP Dy. Commandant IRP-18th Bn, Mohammad Shafi Rather Dy. Director Prosecution APHQ J&K, Ab. Hamid Dar DySP (Pers) APHQ J&K, Abdul Hamid Dar Inspr.(M) I/C GB APHQ J&K, John Muzaffar SI (M) I/C Provision APHQ J&K, Krishan Saroop Rathore Sub Inspector I/C Research and Development Branch APHQ J&K and Tej Krishan -ASI Pers Section APHQ J&K.
It is pertinent to mention here that with the promotions of aforesaid officials, during first two months of the current year, Armed Police Headquarters J&K has accomplished the promotion process of 1510 officials of different ranks which include promotion of 02 ASIs to the rank of SIs, 370 HCs to the rank of ASIs, 486 SgCTs to the rank of HCs and 652 constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables.
