2-day photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, G20 concludes

RAMBAN, Feb 23: Chairperson District Development Council Ramban, Dr. Shamshada Shan was the Chief Guest on the valedictory Function of the 2 Day Integrated Outreach & Communication programme organised by Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcadting, Government of India, Field Office, Doda, Under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
The Outreach Programme was organised with the aim to generate mass awareness regarding the ongoing campaign of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav & Centrally Sponsored Scheme by the Bureau.
While delivering address to the large gathering outside the Conference hall of DC office, Ramban the Chief Guest said that this Exhibition depicts the long history of Freedom Movement in India and is more appealing in a unique way. While appreciating the efforts of Central Bureau of Communication Hon'ble Chairperson said that a lot of work has been done to uplirlft the socio economic condition of the people of Ramban district. She also urged CBC J&K to organise more such programmes in far flung and remote pockets of the district in future too.
Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director, CBC, UTs of J&K & Ladakh gave an overview of various IEC activities being carried out by the department in J&K & Ladakh. He highlighted the importance such programmes which play a pivotal role of spreading the awareness of various policies and programmes of the Government.
Speaking on this occasion Shri Ghulam Abbas said that G20 Presidency is a matter of pride for every citizen of India. Giving details of the Exhibition he was of the view that depicting rearest of the rear photographs of Freedom fighters, unsung Heros and history of freedom.strughle showcasing various mega and important events of Indian Freedom Movement is inspiration for all of us.
A Galaxy of experts from Police department, Lead Bank, ICDS, Govt. APolytechnic College etc. delivered key note address on various components including Drug adfiction-its bad effects on society and means to curb it spread, various social securityachemes in financial inclusion schemes Serives being provides by ICDS department G20 presidency.
Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Field Office, Udhampur presented an overview, structure and working of the CBC, J&K during the event. He said that , CBC is engaged in generating awareness in rural, far flung and Media Shadow zones regarding the Welfare Schemes of Government of India.
On the occasion Open Quiz Competition related to the Indian Freedom Movement and Unsung heroes was also organised and prizes were given away among the winners.
The Programme was concluded with Vote of Thanks presented by Gurnam Singh from CBC Udhampur while as Ruhi Kundal, moderated the proceedings.
