DC Kishtwar tours far off Marwah Block

KISHTWAR, Feb 25: To redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today conducted a day-long tour of far flung Marwah Block and listened to the grievances of people besides inspecting the developmental activities there.
He was accompanied by SDM Marwah, Dr Mohsin Raza; DFO Marwah Vijay Kumar; AD FSC&CA Shafqat Ali; Tehsildar Marwah/ Warwan Gandeep Kumar; Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Rajesh Kumar besides officers and officials of Police, Army and line Departments.
Deputy Commissioner presided over the Block Diwas Programme at Dak Bungalow Marwah wherein scores of locals and PRIs members from the various panchayats of Marwah took part.
The locals highlighted their issues and grievances related to the up-gradation of local infrastructure and service deliverance. The DC Kishtwar, after patient hearing, assured the locals that their genuine issues will be redressed in a time bound manner.
He resolved many issues on the spot by passing necessary directions to concerned officers, besides distributing Wheelchairs and crutches among specially abled persons during the programme.
Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar inspected the special Medical camp for Physically Challenged persons which was conducted on the sidelines of block Diwas programme by specialist/ Orthopaedic Surgeon and team of doctors. As many as 40 Disability Certificate were issued on the spot to the beneficiaries.
During his visit, DC Kishtwar along with SDM Marwah and AD FSC&CA Kishtwar inspected ongoing developmental works under the Aspirational Block Development programme.
He directed the SDM Marwah to ensure the saturation of indicators/parameters under ABDP on priority.
DC also took stock of Residential Quarters at OLD CHC Marwah, and Smart Class Rooms at GHSS Marwah.
He also visited Girls High Schools Nowpachi and UPS Nowpachi to review the educational functionals and also visited Winter Tuition Centres functioning under the initiative of District Administration through District Mineral Funds.
During a visit to the Flash Flood site of Koirar Nallah, he took stock of problems of residents of Hamlet Nowpachi and directed the concerned officers for prompt redressal of the grievances of people and early completion of CHC Marwah which is at the finishing stage.
